The Savar Law Firm was founded by Jonathan Savar in 2015 to address a glaring need in the legal marketplace for highly skilled and experienced yet cost-effective corporate legal counsel to service the transactional, financing and general commercial needs of startups and emerging growth companies as well as their constituents. A former AmLaw 100 corporate/M&A attorney, investment banker and deputy general counsel who led the legal team of an insurtech in its highly successful $1 billion IPO, Mr. Savar stepped into this void and built a firm over the next decade with hundreds of clients under engagement by providing the specific practice areas and legal services that clients wanted at affordable pricing, including alternative fee arrangements.

Our firm’s founder, Jonathan Savar, has worked in the corporate/M&A groups of several of the world’s most prestigious AmLaw 100 law firms as well as a couple of highly-respected regional law firms, and he has also held senior positions as an investment banker at two international financial institutions. Additionally, Mr. Savar served as deputy general counsel and chief transactions and financings attorney for an insurtech that he took public in a successful $1 billion IPO. Prior to starting his career as an attorney, Mr. Savar graduated from Princeton University and The University of Chicago Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of The University of Chicago Legal Forum (advised by now Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan).
